TASMANIAN LIVESTOCK LOADING SCHEME – TLLS

The TLLS is established by the Tasmanian Department of State Growth in partnership with the Livestock Transporters Association of Tasmania and in collaboration with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.

What is the TLLS?

The Tasmanian Livestock Loading Scheme (LLS) is established by the Tasmanian Department of State Growth in partnership with the Livestock Transporters Association of Tasmania and in collaboration with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.

The scheme recognises the challenges in estimating the mass of livestock when being loaded and transported throughout Tasmania. It also recognises that livestock travels better when loaded to a comfortable density which provides better load stability and improved safety.

The Tasmanian LLS is a voluntary Accreditation Scheme.

Operators with TLLS Accreditation can access exemptions from prescribed mass regulations.
